APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited – GPPL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Maritime Board regarding the proposed expansion of Pipavav Port, encompassing an investment of Rs. 17,000 crore (US$2.01 billion).

On November 27, 2024, APM Terminals Pipavav signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with CleanMax to procure 4.56 MW of renewable energy from a hybrid Wind-Solar power project. This initiative aims to support port operations while reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions by 65% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2040, reinforcing its sustainability leadership in the port industry.
On January 15, 2024, APM Terminals Management B.V.-controlled Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd pledged Rs 3,320 crores (US$ 399 million) for expanding Pipavav Port, seeking necessary permissions from the Gujarat government amidst indications of a concession extension, signed an MoU for infrastructure development and explored green hydrogen opportunities.
On January 12, 2024, APM Terminals signed an MoU with Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) to develop a new container terminal at the proposed mega port project in Vadhavan, Maharashtra. The project, costing Rs. 76,220 crore (US$ 9.17 billion), will have a capacity to handle 23 million TEUs annually.
